- The copyright is invalid. Firstly it says:
From "Evolution of the plasma universe". II - The formation of systems of galaxies, Anthony L. Peratt (1986). Abstract Full text (PDF) "Used with permission. Since the text was published in IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, and publication in most journals requires copyright assignment, that would require permission from IEEE. I see no evidence of such permission, further, this picture is marked as being under a creative commons license. IRWolfie- (talk) 23:47, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Derivative work of a "sculpture" on a car. Unclear if it is {{PD-US-1923-abroad}} or not. Stefan2 (talk) 10:26, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Training at MSTI.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- "Provided by the company with authorization to distribute and make it available on the internet" but also listed as "own work by the uploader". No evidence of permission. Also, a permission only for the Internet is insufficient, see {{db-f3}}. Stefan2 (talk) 10:27, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Jaguar Mascot.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Derivative work of jaguar figurine. Unclear if it was already used in 1922 or if it was first published at some later point. Possibly copyrighted. Stefan2 (talk) 13:01, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This image along with the rover mascot are images that I created. Can you explain how the images may be copyrighted and justify why you think they should be considered for deletion. Dave Rogers 18:08, 26 September 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dave Rogers (talk • contribs)
- See Commons:COM:DW: you can't take a picture of a jaguar figurine on a car unless it is in the public domain because of age. --Stefan2 (talk) 18:22, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Acylic on cotton duck 228 x 152,2cm.jpg with Green fibre glass column.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- OTRS pending since mid-July. The uploader has now uploaded a non-free copy of the same image at File:Column in front of its own image II 1971.jpg, suggesting that this might not get any OTRS permission. Stefan2 (talk) 13:14, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- OTRS pending since mid-July. There is now also a non-free copy of the image, File:Orange, Blue and Green 1964.jpg, which was uploaded by the same uploader, suggesting that this might not get any OTRS permission. Stefan2 (talk) 13:16, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: The uploader has changed the licence to fair use, so the image is now listed as orphaned fair use instead. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:18, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm not convinced that this is simple enough. There are also three dupes, all of them listed as fair use items, and all except File:The Radio 1 Breakfast show logo.jpg now nominated for F1 deletion. Only used in the Wikipedia talk namespace, so fair use doesn't apply. Stefan2 (talk) 14:00, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Phil1.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Overwritten file: three in one. One file lacks evidence of permission, see [1]. One of the other files may have been copied from [2], but the oldest archived copy, [3], is a bit more recent than the Wikipedia upload, so it isn't possible to tell. The third file lacks source & licence. Stefan2 (talk) 21:44, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File is untraceable today - this institution was defunct in 1995 and has now been made into an apartment complex. This is one of the only photos I could find of a place where many staff and students have memories.Batterbu (talk) 11:01, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
