is anyone disturbed or genuinely sick on how dark this game is? As a new player, I have to just express: holy fuck the setting is downright grimdark-dark. Never played a game so depressing and horrific. There's no love in this game. Sex is brutal, hole tearing rape, prostitution, or being reduced to cattle/slavery and solely mass producing monsters. This is like a more fucked up version of fear and hunger. Like damn, talk about cranking the fucking dial to eleven.

I've seen and enjoyed worse so I went into this game with a smile on my face thinking of the horrible things I'll have Lona do in each playthrough. It's disturbing and sick because it's meant to be like that, it's not catered for the light hearted and it's to be consumed and enjoyed for what it is... a grimdark fantasy where the power of friendship won't save you~

half if not most of the fun of the game is the roleplay as a character who thrives in a grimdark world, and may even be the beacon of hope in pushing back against the corruption, or at least thats what the game gaslights everyone into thinking it is about while you reload your save for the umpteenth time

Gentlemen, how is it calculated how quickly food spoils on hell difficulty? Sometimes all the food disappears on the next day, and sometimes one meat soup lasts for two days... It's not clear.

Game litterely already finished. And yeandere dev he had no talent in programming, he just had an interesting idea. Look at how he used to make a game through his ass, where professional developers were terrified
Frankly, Eccma is not a great developer either, but he's competent artist with distinctive style that picked programming out of necessity and he's stubborn, persistent, patient or whatever you wanna call it so he sticks to his vision and keeps working on it. There's some content every 1-2 months, sure, sometimes it's as little as new garment or one new location expanding the world, or a complete detour to make mockery of people that recently pissed him off, but the point is he keeps going. Slow and steady wins the race. Lona's game has been in development for almost 6 years. He's still passionate about it, and he's up-front about how much is (or isn't) being done.
People's allergy to "early access" or v 0.something games stems mostly from projects that spit out half-assed tech demo and then go silent for another year or three with nothing but reassurence that the team is still working on it. That's not the case here.

Some of you might remember this cg in a ealier post:

I didn't like the way it looked, so i decided to change for the better:

looks at little better huh?

Here some more finished cgs:

Anyways i think that at least for now, i finished the cgs, the only ones left are the big boob mod version, after that the overlays are next (that i didn't even began two work on it).

Because it's gonna take for me a while even begin messing with the code, i decided that instead of just posting screenshots and making you guys left wanting for more, i wanna give the CGs for yall

Just one notice through, because they just cgs and no mod, and i didn't finish the overlays, there will be a lot of bugs and stuff clipping (ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO VAGINAL) so be aware, also my tips is to use the cheatmenu and activate the no dirt cheat cuz i still didn't change the dirt overlays, otherwise it's gonna look real bad with dirt on (oh and remenber to only do ANAL)

Here how to install the sprites:

First go to this directory in your computer:

C:\User\anon\(whatever you put LonaRPG game files)\LonaRPG (v0.9)\Graphics\Portrait

Then put the files here:

directory.png

Then enjoy seeing your lona getting assraped to death:

question on lore i guess...but will we ever figure out how the red mist happened? or go to sybaris? the closest i got was that partially destroyed fort with the watch tower.

From what I gather with the conversations with Justice and the Sea Witch, the red mist was apparently an accident I think.

what is recomended build for first playthrough
Dont play on the hardest difficulty, go to the sewers & spend twenty hours save scumming getting to grips with the stealth mechanics and rescue system(this is the main gameplay loop, you have to get good at it to play the game), rescue like ten bitches, save before sleeping, eat raw meat then immediately sleep to not puke, sleep in the forest on the exit to reset food poisoning and save scumm gastroenteritis, collect at the barkeep, and buy sabre and dagger on the other side of the city, then do as you wish, or nothing, with your level ups, but recommended dmg or maybe scout

Also thoroughly or frequently checking the wiki is recomended as its easy to lock yourself out of content, but it may be lame to do in your first run, but the game's so grindy you probably wont replay it, maybe stagger your saves i guess

is there any thief build? and if yes how?
Max scout while doing a normal high qual sabre playthrough i guess?, stealing from npcs gives you like nothing, just rob the bank every however long it takes to refresh, money and loot itself is kinda worthless in this game
If you want to rob the bank just walk behind the counter, throw a few rocks, and loot and run before the guards aggro, i think it lowers karma but you gain a ton from rescues and rescues are the best source of food anyway

Or just hire the Treasure Hunter and do the Crystal Mines quest once or twice for your first level ups - dude can solo that and the boars in the rainforests along the way (use the Rally Trumpet skill to move your companions around, and don't throw them into a mess of enemies) - then start getting into the rescue system and all that jazz. Not that it's massively difficult, but rescuing is a fair bit easier around level 15-20+ than it is from your first go in the sewers.

Also, on the subject of stealth, as long as your character has about 5 SCU (as a stat, not the level-up trait), which can be achieved by early equipment and dirtiness, you can maneuver around most mobs just by walking around. Sneaking does make things easier in a lot of ways, but actually getting around undetected sometimes relies more on overwhelming violence (OHKOs, frag mines or longbow snipe shots being notable choices if you can't two-hit off of a stun) or time-consuming but zero-alert trap damage than it does actually having any scoutcraft levels, especially if you need to ferry around an NPC or two.

I did it level one and i think it builds character, it really prepares you for the rest of the game like that god awful cave rescue with the roamers and the shamans or whatever, easily the hardest part of the game
